Assistant Athletic Trainer

Description:
Join the Randolph College Team! The College has an immediate opening for an Assistant Athletic Trainer (10-month appointment). The position is responsible for assisting with the management of athletic training services for the College’s 17-sport intercollegiate athletics program. Randolph is a member of the NCAA Division III and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC). Specific responsibilities include injury prevention, evaluation, treatment; working cooperatively with athletic department staff, team physicians, and College Health Center practitioners; injury tracking and documentation including secondary insurance processing. Additional responsibilities include the development of a strength and conditioning program or teaching an athletic training related course. Night and weekend hours are required. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred) in a sports medicine-related field; NATA BOC and First Aid and CPR certifications, Virginia state licensure or eligible, required. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and accomplished professional to join a progressive enrollment management team. The Director of Admissions will lead an admissions organization focused on increasing enrollment, enhancing net tuition revenue, and improving the academic profile of first year and transfer entering classes. Experience meeting and exceeding recruiting goals, use of advanced and innovative recruitment technology and techniques, and an understanding of the foundational elements of exceptional admissions counseling are required. Because the position serves as an articulate spokesperson for the mission and values of the institution, the candidate must have superior communications, organizational, logistical, and interpersonal skills; supervisory experience with a focus on counselor goals and results; expertise in facilitating organizational development and change; competency in analyzing recruitment-related data and assessing programming activities as part of a strategic enrollment planning initiative; an understanding of the innovative uses of technology in the recruitment process; and experience working with diverse populations. The Director of Admissions will be expected to travel frequently, including weekends and evenings, and will be responsible for his or her territory and recruitment goal, as well as oversight of quality and recruiting strategies and tactics employed by admissions counselors, assistant directors, and associate directors. The qualified candidate must have a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in the administration of an admissions office. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Description:
Randolph College is seeking a full-time Director of Buildings and Grounds. Position reports to the VP for Finance and Administration. The Director oversees the operation, maintenance, and safety of the campus buildings and grounds. Randolph College is located in central Virginia on a 100-acre campus with 18 buildings, some of which are on the National Registry of Historic Places. The College is known for its beautiful campus. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (electrical or mechanical preferred) with a minimum of five years of experience in physical facilities operations and management required. Must possess a solid background and understanding of HVAC and electrical. Description:
Randolph College has an immediate opening for the Director of the Experiential Learning Center (ELC), which includes direct management of study abroad/off-campus programs and supervising/mentoring an Assistant Director/Intern Coordinator, who facilitates the internship program. The College offers an excellent benefits package including health, dental, and life insurance, pension, paid vacation and sick leave, etc. Responsibilities include: providing study abroad advising to students; developing strong working relationships with faculty and external study abroad providers; assisting faculty in developing and implementing financially sustainable short-term study abroad options; managing complex scholarship and program budgets, including a college-owned study abroad program in Reading, England; maintaining the ELC’s web and social media sites; attending to orientation, safety, and risk management issues; participating in a number of faculty committees; and providing strategic direction for the internship program. Description:
Randolph College invites applications for a one-year non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor for academic year 2013-14. Teaching load is 3 courses per semester. Preference will be given to those who demonstrate quality teaching and approach the business curriculum from a liberal arts perspective. Ph.D. or DBA preferred. The successful candidate will teach strategic management, senior seminar (a project-based course traditionally devoted to writing a business plan), and principles of management. Preference will be given to candidates who can also teach marketing. Faculty typically teach six unique courses in each year; please describe in your letter any courses you would enjoy teaching as undergraduate electives to round out teaching load.
