Resources and Opportunities for French Students

The Senior Seminar gives you the experience of researching a major French literary movement against its sociocultural background and presenting your findings in both written and oral form. Recent seniors have studied the representation of the Republic in Marivaux, Colette and the idea of beauty, and the concept of religious freedom in France.

Enhance your fluency in the French language and experience French culture by participating in internships and study-abroad programs. You may follow other Randolph College students who have had internships at the American Embassy in Paris or the Musée L'Histoire Locale in Rueil-Malmaison near Paris (Lynchburg's sister city). Or, you may spend a semester or an academic year studying in Angers, France.

In addition, many Randolph College students participate in summer research projects.
