Faculty Development Center

The mission of the Faculty Development Center is to promote excellence in teaching in the following ways:

  • assisting new faculty with becoming familiar with the Randolph College community and  support services available

  • coordinating a mentoring program for new faculty members

  • promoting the exchanging of information and expertise on various aspects of faculty development through discussions and workshops

  • providing/coordinating peer teaching evaluations

  • providing reference materials on faculty development topics

  • fostering faculty's efforts to be the most effective teachers they can be

  • keeping faculty informed of faculty development opportunities available both on and off campus

  • providing funding for faculty interested in attending faculty development conferences
