A Step by Step Guide

Your decisions about your academic program will obviously be among the most important you will make while in college. To assist you in making the most of the academic opportunities you have at Randolph College, we have prepared the following First-Year Student Academic Step-By-Step Guide.

Follow these steps to ensure that your entry into the Academic Program goes smoothly. Please note that all forms should be submitted (either online or via snail mail - see bottom of page) by July 15.

Academic Forms for New Students will be available June 1.

Read thoroughly the " First-Year Student Academic Guide ". Everything you need to know in order to prepare for registration for fall classes is there. Refer back to these pages while filling out the required forms.

Read " Points to Keep In Mind When Planning Your First Semester Program "**.

  1. Familiarize yourself with the Glossary of Academic Terminology . Refer back to these pages as necessary.

  2. Prepare for your Orientation advising and registration session by reviewing the list of First-Semester Courses Open to First-Year Students**  , following the four steps on How to Begin Choosing Your Classes for Fall** , and filling out the Course Preferences form**.

  3. The English 103R Selection Form will be completed by you and your advisor during Orientation. You do not need to submit this form in advance.

  4. Fill out the Mathematics Information Form**.

  5. If you intend to participate in the riding program, fill out the Riding Background Questionnaire**.

  6. Complete the Self-Assessment Assignment**.

  7. Complete the Consent to Disclose Information Form**.
    (Because this form requires your signature, it cannot be submitted online. Simply print it out and mail it to the address below.)
