Jeanne Morrissette Ramsey ’47 loved art, dance, music, theatre, literature and all things French. And, according to her husband, Clyde H. Ramsey, "she felt very indebted to Randolph-Macon Woman’s College for the education she received."
Jeanne was known for her deep sense of personal responsibility, which compelled her to name the College as the primary beneficiary in her will. Her life-long interest in France inspired her to direct her gift to include a fund with a preference for the acquisition of French books and magazines, and a fund to enable women with a demonstrated need to travel to France for study abroad.
"I am pleased," remarked Clyde, "that you may use her gifts as a tool to expand the awareness of the College and how it can be recognized and supported."
