Academic Services Center

Ask Randolph students and they'll tell you that classwork here is quite demanding. But they'll also tell you that there are many sources of help: your classmates and friends, for example; a caring and supportive faculty; and, on the third floor of Lipscomb Library, the Academic Services Center.

In the ASC, you'll find all the tools you need to help craft your academic success. We're open during regular Library hours for your convenience, and—more importantly—we have a variety of academic support services to help you succeed both in and out of the classroom:

  • Interactive workshops that help you polish your study skills such as note taking, exam prep, and time management.
  • The Learning Strategies Program that enables you to meet with an academic peer tutor to refine your study strategies and clarify academic goals; tutors can assist you with goal setting, time management, stress control.
  • Tutors for any subject, from English to French, from economics to psychology. (Request a Tutor)
  • A variety of printed, audiovisual, and computerized materials that provide study strategies.
  • Networked PC's and Macs with access to local and Internet-based resources.

Students with disabilities can work through the ASC to arrange appropriate accommodations to ensure equal access to academic and co-curricular programs.
