Jesse Kern

Research co-authored by Randolph chemistry professor Jesse Kern and several faculty at the University of Tennessee has been accepted for publication in an upcoming issue of the American Chemical Society journal, ACS Catalysis.

The article, “Elucidation of the Reaction Mechanism of C2 + N1 Aziridination from Tetracarbene Iron Catalysts,” is a combined computational and experimental study. Three specific aspects of the catalytic cycle were addressed in an effort to improve catalysts for C2 + N1 aziridination.
