Sara Reed ’15 helps deaf children in Kenya through Child Scholars program

Sara Reed ’15 is working to establish a partnership between the nonprofit organization, Child Scholars, and the Ngala School for the Deaf in Nakuru, Kenya.

Reed is a new member of the organization, whose mission is to “help children achieve their God-given potential through education.” According to its mission statement, Child Scholars offers innovative and sustainable educational solutions that actualize unique abilities endowed to each child and nurture these gifts in the overall betterment of the child’s self and his or her community.

Reed is a second-year student at Lincoln Memorial University’s Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. At Randolph, she majored in biology and dance.
