Randolph College is proud to be located in Lynchburg, Va.—a city that reviews.org just ranked #1 among “Best Places for Millenials to Move.”
The rankings were compiled based on unemployment rates, high immigration flows, low housing costs, and low rates of property crime. With those criteria, reviews.org evaluated 325 metro areas and ranked them accordingly to determine the best places for millennials to move to in 2019.
In the article, author Trevor Wheelwright noted that Lynchburg, also known as the “Hill City,” makes a great place to call home because of its hiking destinations as well as cultural attractions like the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra, Academy of Fine Arts, and Renaissance Theater. Lynchburg also has a low unemployment rate and cost of living, and has a thriving downtown area with a wide variety of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and other stores and attractions.
Lynchburg has also been recognized by other organizations as a great place to live and attend college, and was included in Best Value Schools’ “30 Most Charming College Town Main Streets.”
