Student-athletes recognized for sportsmanship

FOREST, Va. – On Thursday, the ODAC honored student-athletes for sportsmanship they displayed during the winter and spring seasons.

This marks the sixth year the league has recognized student-athletes for sportsmanship.

“I am pleased that the conference recognizes student-athletes for their focus on fair play and sportsmanship,” said ODAC Commissioner Brad Bankston. “The conference prides itself on positive sportsmanship and encouraging student-athletes to lead by example. Each one of the honorees has been selected by the coaches in recognition of their conduct in the arena. My hat is off to these student-athletes – thanking them for the example they set for all of us.”

Randolph honorees included:

Evan Horn – men’s basketball
Allie Druffel – women’s basketball
Matthieu Meyer – men’s indoor track and field
Marisa Quarti – women’s indoor track and field
Stephany West – equestrian
Brian Crosby – men’s lacrosse
Erin Campbell – women’s lacrosse
Alexis Steljes – softball
Ryan Purrington – men’s outdoor track and field
Jessy Spencer – men’s outdoor track and field
Danielle Lewis – women’s tennis
Bradley Strober – men’s tennis
