Basketball teams score weekend victories, track and field athletes finish well

Both of Randolph’s basketball teams scored significant victories on Saturday.

The women’s basketball team topped Hollins University 57-47 and broke its record for the number of wins in a season. This is the second year in a row that the WildCat women set a new record for the number of wins in the season. Read more about their game here.

The men’s basketball team then won with a 20-point spread, beating Shenandoah University 76-56. Before tipoff, Randolph’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee presented a $500 check for Special Olympics Virginia. Read more about the game here.

Meanwhile, the College’s track and field teams earned multiple top-10 finishes in the Captains Invitational in Newport News. Marisa Quarti ’18 finished third in the 60 meter hurdles, and Anthony Quinn ’17 placed fourth in the men’s 60 meter hurdles contest.
