Macon Activities Council launches new Fall Fest event

The Macon Activities Council (MAC) is kicking off Fall Fest, a new event for Randolph College on Saturday.

The festival runs from 12 – 4 p.m. with a variety of food an0427_summer_sendoff_004d games in Michels Plaza. At 8 p.m., the Smith Hall Theatre doors open will open for a concert featuring American hip-hop artist Chitty Bang. The festival is free of charge for all, and the concert is free for current Randolph students, but $10 for guests.

The festival features five inflatable stations: a mechanical bull for students to tap into their inner cowboy, sumo wrestling, an obstacle course, a sports arena, and human foosball for people to get into the game—literally.

Students can tap their creativity making tie-dye bandanas and satisfy their sweet tooth with the candy-apple station. Chick-fil-A will also cater lunch. Students who attend will receive Fall Fest t-shirts. MAC created the event to provide students with an  the opportunity to let off  steam as midterms edge closer and stress levels ramp up.

The concert will begin with the opening band, Black Matter, followed by Chitty Bang on stage at 10 p.m. Doors will close at 10:15 p.m. so those who want to attend the show should arrive early.

MAC is a student-run organization responsible for planning and hosting student entertainment events around campus It includes 21 student members of various class years who are dedicated to running quality events for the student body.
