Student Assistant – President’s Office

Job Title:  Student Assistant

Department:  President’s Office

Number of positions available: 2

Essential Functions: The Student Assistant is the first point of contact for visitors to the President’s Office. Adhering to the Honor Code and maintaining confidentiality is a must when working in the President’s Office. Basic receptionist type duties apply – greet visitors, and answer phones/take messages. Students will be asked to file materials, pick-up, open, and sort the mail, and complete necessary projects as they are assigned. Student Assistants will be asked to deliver materials to different offices on campus.

Qualifications: must be comfortable meeting and greeting visitors, answering the phone and taking messages, good communication skills.

Working Environment: office environment (appropriate dress and decorum expected)

Pay: $7.25 per hour

Hours: exact hours to be determined; the President’s Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
