Need-Based Aid

As you go through the financial aid process, Randolph’s Student Financial Services Office stands ready to help you navigate the ever-changing waters of financial aid and successfully find the right combination for you.

A variety of financial aid options are available to Randolph students, including scholarships, need-based grants, federal and state grants, campus employment, and low-interest loans. We also offer a monthly payment plan.

Here’s a sampling of the types of aid that may be offered:

  • Federal Pell Grant, a need-based grant of up to $5,920 (estimated).
  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, a need-based grant of up to $1,000.
  • Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant (VTAG), a $3,200 (est.) non-need-based grant that is available to all Virginia residents who attend as full-time degree candidates.
  • Other state grants. Several states offer varying amounts of grant assistance that can be used at Virginia colleges. Check with the Council of Higher Education in your state for details.
  • Federal Direct Stafford Loans are available at low interest rates through the government.
  • Campus Employment provides work-study opportunities for students both with and without financial need. You also might qualify for a variety of academic and other scholarships .
